Eliot Historic and Contemporary Room Addition

This small room addition includes a bath, an enlarged dining room, and a new deck. Fitting a full bath in a 4' wide x 11' wide space was a challenge. To make the tight quarters work we installed a pocket door, a narrow wall-mounted sink, a recessed medicine cabinet, and a built-in cabinet next to the toilet. A trench drain was used continue the same tile floor from the main bath area into the shower. A vaulted ceiling and two skylights, one of which was operable, provide natural light, ventilation, and help the small space feel open and airy. Located in Belmont Heights, Long Beach, CA.
