Eliot Historic and Contemporary Room Addition

This small room addition includes a bath, an enlarged dining room, and a new deck. Fitting a full bath in a 4' wide x 11' wide space was a challenge. To make the tight quarters work we installed a pocket door, a narrow wall mount sink, a recessed medicine cabinet, and a built-in cabinet next to the toilet. A trench drain was used continue the same tile floor from the main bath area into the shower. Vaulted ceiling and two skylights, one of which was operable, provide natural light, ventilation, and help the small space feel open and airy. Located in Belmont Heights, Long Beach, CA.
